How Paramount Effluent came about

Paramount Effluent Spreading, Waikato’s premium effluent spreading service was founded by Nick Wright in 2018. Nick has always had an interest in agricultural machinery, operating machinery here in New Zealand, before traveling to Europe and Australia operating various harvesting machinery, later swapping the tractor seat for an office chair.

Deciding to make use of his Bachelor of Commerce from Lincoln, Nick joined the corporate world working for The Australian Wheat Board (Cargill) in their logistics team, managing their road freight across the eastern sea board for a time.

Always calling New Zealand home, Nick made the move back across the Tasman in 2016, initially working for John Austin as a Customer Manager, then JSwap Contractor's in their Dispatch Team. Learning valuable New Zealand way of business practices and staff management.

Seeking a challenge of his own Nick hunted high and low for a business opportunity, seeing a hole in the market for a specialised effluent contractor in the Waikato. Aiming to provide a service to farmers to assist them with the changing environmental regulation while adding to their bottom line.

Lacking a name and wanting to reflect what his service was offering to his customers Nick was looking for more than a name that associated with him or the area. Paramount Marketing being the business name of his late father. Nick looked up Paramount in the dictionary to get the true meaning of the word, Supreme coming up as the closest synonym. This fitted perfectly with Nick's ambitions to provide a service to his customers that is second to none. A Surpreme effluent pumping service. Hence Paramount Effluent Spreading Limited.
